Detalhes Annoucement for Research Technician Grant

Academic requirements: Prospective applicants should hold a degree in the area of health sciences, computer science or mathematics. The classification of the degree and professional experience in scientific research, particularly in the collection, treatment and statistical analyze of the data, will be considered. Candidates are expected to write and to speak English with fluency.

Activity Outline: To conduct structured interviews through standardized questionnaires and to treat and analyze data.

Legislation and regulations: Lei Nº. 40/2004, from August 18 (Research Grant Holder Statute); Regulations for Advance Training and Qualification of Human Resources 2011.

Work place: Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto and University of Porto Medical School, Portugal, under scientific supervision of Prof. Doutora Elisabete Ramos.

Duration and Stipend: The grant will have a duration of 12 months. The financial aspects are outlined in the budget allowance of the project, which assigns a salary of 745€ per month, in accordance with the FCT regulations for monthly maintenance stipend in Portugal (http://alfa.fct.mctes.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores).

Evaluation criteria and process: After curricular evaluation (0-10), an interview with the four first candidates may be requested to assess their relative merit (0-10). The final results of the evaluation will be available at http://www.ispup.up.pt/
